The Opportunity:

To grow our service offering, we need to enhance our existing services, develop new investment and transactional products with additional partners, and begin to look beyond South Africa at global opportunities. We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with React experience who is adaptable, smart, and passionate about building scalable, high-performing interfaces in a modern tech stack.

What You’ll Do:

• Have a massive impact on our clients and team by designing, testing and pushing great code in our modern stack, which includes React v18+, TypeScript, CSS Modules, Vite, Vitest, SWR, and Storybook

• Collaborate with some of the best Product and Engineering team members to accelerate development on client-facing platforms, dashboards and internal tools

• Build and maintain frontend components that improve user experience and operational efficiency

• Debug issues, contribute to system upgrades, review peers' code, and ensure high-quality, well-tested code

• Identify and resolve pain points in the codebase to improve scalability, maintainability and performance

• Share knowledge with your colleagues to continually grow the team’s skill level

• Constantly iterate, learn and grow to ensure you and your work are always the best version possible

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years' experience in frontend development

• 2+ years’ experience in React

• Experience building web-based platforms and dashboards

• Exposure to fintech is a plus; interest in Forex and Crypto is advantageous

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• A focus on deliverability with a care for clean and articulate code

• A start-up mindset, comfortable with products failing and having to be rapidly iterated

• Comfortable working remotely with high autonomy and staying self-motivated without having to be managed frequently

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with exposure to fast-paced agile delivery environments
